Kindness, Compassion, Clarity
I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I am passionate about helping people find clarity, peace and a hopeful future. I use evidence based approaches for couple and individual therapy, and rely on cognitive behaviour therapy, emotionally focused therapy and the Gottman approach. These therapeutic models are based on extensive research and have been proven to help individuals and couples improve their emotional wellbeing, relationships and overcome emotional difficulties.
I have worked with clients across a variety of settings, including public and private hospitals and extensively in private practice. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts with First-Class Honours in Psychology from the University of Sydney. I completed my PhD at the Black Dog Institute (University of New South Wales), focusing on mental health and was awarded a scholarship from the Centre for Research Excellence in Suicide Prevention. I have worked as a professional advisor for the Australian Psychological Society (APS), helping psychologists with ethical and professional dilemmas, and as a clinical supervisor and university lecturer, training students in counselling skills and professional practice.
